What to Expect on the Day of Temple Fillers Treatment
On the day of your appointment, your specialist will walk you through the procedure and the techniques they will be using. The treatment is administered in stages, which the specialist will explain before they begin.
The first step is the facial assessment and mapping. Your specialist will evaluate your facial appearance and skin tone and examine the areas of your face to be augmented. Strategic points on your face may be marked as the appropriate injection sites for the filler. Photographs may be taken of the areas to be treated.
Step two is cleansing and anesthetizing. The injection sites will be cleansed with an antibacterial agent. Pain at the injection site can be tempered by the use of a very cold instrument to chill the skin, anesthetic ointment to numb the skin, or injection of local anesthesia.
Step three is the injection itself. Injection usually takes only a few moments per site. The process of injecting, massaging, and evaluating the result is performed, and additional filler is added as needed.
Step four is clean-up and recovery. Once your specialist and the patient deem the results satisfactory, any markings will be cleaned off. You may be offered an ice pack to reduce swelling and alleviate discomfort.

Temple Fillers Recovery
The Temple Filler treatment is expeditious and mostly pain-free. No downtime is needed after you receive the treatment so that you can resume normal activities right after your appointment. You should avoid intense physical activity for the first 24-48 hours to minimize swelling and bruising. You may be advised to sleep on your back for the following two nights. Be sure to discuss your specific recovery plan with your specialist prior to scheduling your injections.
