What to expect on the day of a BOTOX treatment
On the day of your BOTOX or wrinkle relaxer treatment, your assigned specialist will walk you through the procedure and the techniques they will be using. We offer patients the option to apply a topical numbing cream to their skin to ensure there is no pain from the needle itself. Some people get anxious about needles and we will work to make you feel comfortable.
The second step is to administer the BOTOX injections in the areas that have been mapped out and specified by your specialist during your consultation. The procedure itself is quick and non-invasive. The BOTOX treatment can be as short as 20 minutes, but the exact time will depend on the areas being treated on the day of your appointment.
Once the specialist has completed injecting the focus areas, they will clean your skin, and allow you to take a look at their work so you can approve it. If you are happy with what you see, the treatment is complete and you will be free to go about your day as normal.

BOTOX recovery
There is no downtime or extensive recovery needed after getting a BOTOX treatment. Our specialist will give you instructions not to rub or massage the areas injected, to allow time for the BOTOX to set in. Rubbing the skin too hard after getting BOTOX may cause the botulinum toxin to migrate to other areas of the face.
You may experience some soreness after the treatment, which will fade quite quickly if you take care to relax after the procedure. You will need to avoid strenuous activity during the first 24 – 48 hours post-injection. By following the post-procedure instructions from our specialists, you can ensure great results in no time at all!
