What to expect on the day of Brow Lift surgery
While a large incision from one ear to the other used to be the standard in brow lift surgery, we use a less invasive approach. We place the incisions either directly above the hairline, within the eyebrows, or in a deep wrinkle where they will not be visible. We use these surgical openings to lift the forehead skin, remove excess fat, rearrange the muscles and trim excess skin. We then gently suture the skin into its new position and apply special bandages. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and is usually completed within two to three hours.
Although serious side effects are rare, like all surgeries, brow lift surgery is associated with certain risks, such as bleeding, infections, and excessive bruising and swelling. We adhere to the strictest sterilization and sanitation protocols to minimize these risks and enhance patient safety. In addition, we closely monitor all of our patients during the recovery period in order to promptly diagnose and address any complications.

Brow Lift recovery
Most of our Toronto forehead lift patients are able to return to their daily schedules within five to 10 days. However, full recovery might take up to several months as the skin begins to heal and any residual swelling slowly disappears. The results of brow lift surgery are permanent. However, the facial tissues will continue to age. As a result, a touch-up procedure might be required in the future.
