We then gently suture the skin into its new position and apply special bandages. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and is usually completed within two to three hours.

However, full recovery might take up to several months as the skin begins to heal and any residual swelling slowly disappears. The results of brow lift surgery are permanent.
